Came to Life
This all started with a dog walk…
Walking has always been where I do my best thinking.
It’s one of the only times everything quietens enough for me to actually hear my own thoughts.
Last summer, I found myself going over the same questions again and again…
How do I create something that works for my health, my family, and our future?
How do I earn enough to support us – without burning myself out in the process?
I loved my role as a medical secretary.
I really did.
I loved helping people navigate what can often be a really difficult time.
But the reality was…
the hours weren’t flexible, the income had a ceiling, and physically it was starting to take its toll.
At the same time, I was thinking about something bigger –
how I could create more stability for my family, and a future safety net for my daughter.
Then, on one of these walks, something just… clicked.
What if I could take what I already do, and create something similar – but for the holistic space?
Not just a directory!
Something that actually helps people find the right support for them, without the overwhelm or uncertainty of where to start.
I remember calling Kelly straight away and saying
“We need to meet – I’ve just had an idea!”
Because we’d already had so many conversations about wanting similar things -more flexibility, being present for our children, working around health needs, and finding a way to build something meaningful around all of that.
Kelly and I also share a genuine interest in complementary therapies, and a belief that whatever path people decide to take, there should be easier ways to access the support they need – and even support they didn’t know they could benefit from.
I knew straight away this was something we could build side by side – combining what we each bring and supporting each other along the way.
And that moment…
is what became
The Healing Link.
