Practitioner Code of Conduct
Welcome
Welcome to The Healing Link, and thank you for choosing to become part of our community of independent practitioners.
We believe that meaningful connections, shared values and positive collaboration create stronger communities and better outcomes for everyone. By joining The Healing Link, you become part of a growing network of independent practitioners who share a commitment to supporting people with professionalism, integrity and compassion.
Our vision, mission and values are at the heart of everything we do. This Code of Conduct reflects those principles by setting out the standards of behaviour and professional conduct we ask all members to embrace as part of our community.
All Practitioners remain independently responsible for their own professional practice. This Code does not replace your legal, regulatory or professional responsibilities, nor does it replace our Practitioner Terms of Service Agreement. Instead, it reflects the additional commitment we make to one another as members of The Healing Link, helping us to build a respectful, ethical and collaborative community that benefits practitioners, clients and the wider public.
Our Shared Values
Although every practitioner brings their own unique knowledge, experience and approach, we are united by a shared commitment to the values that underpin The Healing Link.
As a member of our community, we ask you to:
- Place people at the heart of what you do.
- Act with honesty, integrity and professionalism.
- Support informed choice, recognising that no single therapy or approach is right for everyone.
- Treat every individual with dignity, fairness and respect.
- Value collaboration, mutual support and professional courtesy.
- Take responsibility for your own professional practice whilst contributing positively to our community.
These shared values provide the foundation for the standards and expectations set out throughout this Code of Conduct.
Professional Practice
Membership of The Healing Link carries the expectation that you will conduct yourself with professionalism, integrity and responsibility, reflecting the values of The Healing Link in both your professional practice and your interactions with others.
As a member of The Healing Link, we ask you to:
- Conduct your practice with honesty, integrity and professionalism.
- Work within the limits of your own knowledge, qualifications, competence and experience.
- Maintain the professional standards expected within your own area of practice.
- Present your services honestly, accurately and professionally.
- Avoid making misleading, exaggerated or unsubstantiated claims about your services, experience or outcomes.
- Respect client confidentiality, privacy and appropriate professional boundaries.
- Recognise the limits of your own practice and, where appropriate, encourage clients to comply with all legal, regulatory and professional responsibilities relevant to your own practice.
- Recognise the limits of your own practice and, where appropriate, encourage clients to seek additional or alternative support.
- Take responsibility for maintaining and developing your own professional knowledge and skills.
Client Relationships
Every client deserves to be treated with dignity, respect and professionalism. As a member of The Healing Link, we ask you to place the wellbeing, autonomy and informed choice of your clients at the heart of your professional practice.
- Treat every client with dignity, kindness, fairness and respect.
- Support clients in making informed decisions about their wellbeing, recognising that every individual is unique.
- Respect each client’s right to make their own choices without pressure or unrealistic promises.
- Act in the best interests of clients, ensuring that personal, professional or financial interests do not improperly influence your professional judgement or recommendations.
- Recognise when another practitioner or service may be better placed to support a client’s needs and encourage onward signposting where appropriate.
- Respect client confidentiality, privacy and appropriate professional boundaries at all times.
- Treat all individuals fairly and without unlawful discrimination, embracing diversity and helping to create an inclusive environment where people feel welcomed, valued and respected.
- Remain aware of safeguarding responsibilities relevant to your practice and respond appropriately to any concerns in accordance with your legal and professional obligations.
Community & Collaboration
The Healing Link is built upon the belief that a supportive and collaborative community benefits everyone. While you remain independent in your own practice, we ask you to contribute positively to the community we are building together.
- Treat fellow practitioners with courtesy, professionalism and respect.
- Value collaboration over competition, recognising that we all bring different skills, experiences and perspectives.
- Encourage a supportive and inclusive environment where members feel welcomed, valued and respected.
- Communicate constructively and respectfully, including when opinions, approaches or experiences differ.
- Celebrate the achievements and successes of fellow practitioners and contribute positively to the growth of the wider community.

- Avoid behaviour that may unfairly undermine, discredit or damage the reputation of fellow practitioners or the wider holistic wellbeing community.
- Raise concerns respectfully and through appropriate channels where genuine issues arise.
- Recognise that every interaction contributes to the culture, reputation and future of the community we are building together.
